Od Howell

Starting in January 2026, Od Howell takes on the role of Director of the NIPKOW PROGRAMM, combining many years of international film production experience with an in-depth understanding of the programme. After nine years as Head of Studies, Howell has an intimate knowledge of the programme’s structure, the needs of international filmmakers, and its strategic direction.

Howell studied Social and Business Communication at the Berlin University of the Arts and has over 25 years of experience in international film production and distribution, with a focus on arthouse and documentary projects in Europe and Central Asia. 

This extensive network across the German and international film landscape provides a strong basis for the strategic development and network management of the NIPKOW PROGRAMM.
